FOBWC Membership Forms
The original plan was to "host" the information on the "Friends" on the Parish Council website with a QR code that would take an interested party to that page.
After some initial trials this is seen as a less that perfect solution. I have done a lot of work in formatting pages for this project and even attempted to promote an event for FOBWC. The result is that it would seem that most Internet users are unlikely to visit the website and would also be confused when they scanned the QR code.
For a QR code to work it needs to go to a website that specifically says Friends of Belchamp Walter Church. A Facebook page would do but there are limitations in posting membership forms in that forum. A Facebook post would disappear as posts are added to the Facebook account. Unlike Blogger, where you can have static pages, the "Facebook Dynamic" is different.
The Friends could have a Blogger blog that could do this but it would need an "admin" group person to administer it. Although I was one of these I have no interest in creating and running this blog.
The Blogger Blog
In a previous life I spent a lot of time configuring a Google Blogger site to do what I wanted.
I spent a lot of time creating webpages and a menu system to access them. This was in additition to the blog posts which are in a chronological format as they are in Facebook.
I have now removed the menus and the "static" pages are no longer linked to the blog when accessed. To configure these menus there is much work involved with the page layout.
Bottom-line, this is too much work!
The main purpose of FOBWC is to raise money - this approach will not help and take too much effort.
