There are a lot of entries on Wikitree for Clopton. I admit that I am a little confused with an entry about William Clopton of Stratford-on-Avon.
I need to dig into the Clopton references that I have found plus the entry for Long Melford in The Manors of Suffolk.
Kentwell Hall
Sadly Kentwell has degenerated into a business. Not that there is any thing wrong with making money but there is little on their website about the history of the Cloptons. There is some but the main thrust is to sell the "Tudor Experience" and Kentwell Hall as a venue, wedding or otherwise.
