In an attempt to rationalise the periods of Belchamp Walter's history I have seperated it into various eras:

• Pre Conquest
• Medievil - Domesday to .......Botetourt (d. 1325) - Mid 1400's
• Pre-Tudor - Pre 1485 - Swynbourne, Helion, Fynderne, Montomery to Wentworth
• Tudor - 1485 - 1603 - Montomery, Wentworth and Stern
• The Raymond years - 1611 to present - including the Victorian era
• Victorian to present day - information gathered from archives of Local newspapers, word of mouth and contemporary sources.
