W3C Criticism

I am not unaware that there are those that think that W3C is the "antichrist". This could be similar to the view on the EU!

Looking into this in November 2020 it seems that the main thrust for this was in 2006. I have seen a vast improvement in the W3C site myself even over the last year or so. Or I had not looked that closely. I can't see how you can ignore them.

An alternative to W3C and WHATWG is MDN - the Mozilla Developers Network. Making some searches about topics such as recursive JavaScript functions and the DM Console come up with "hits" on MDN.

The Web Hypertext Application Technology Working Group (WHATWG)

Here is an example.

James Sinclair

James Sinclair - recursive traversing of trees usng JavaScript.

Someone on his Twitter feed said "Please don't make me use W3C Schools" - who uses MDN on a daily basis.
