More notes on the use of parameters used for control of elements when a page or element is scrolled
The example from MDN shows how my code fror the changing of the banner at the top of a mobile screen works
The scrollable element is a custom div with overflow: scroll and a fixed height
What I have tried to do here is to combine some of the code that I have developed before using the W3C framework andd illustrating the code from MDN,
What I have learnt here is that the element that is scrolled can be a stylised container that contains text. The example for the "agreement" uses a textarea, apart from the fact that the textarea is editable a div is far moref flexible.
I could even introduce a scroll bar to my quoted text as it would not take up as much screen space.
ScrollTop
This exMample shows the value of the element.property element.scrollTop
This is some text - I am not sure about the horizontal scroll.
I will have to look this up as the horizontal bar looks messy and is not needed.
The scollHeight of the conteiner seems to the value of scrollTop wheb the content is scrolled to the end.
