I now see that one of the major reasons a page is found is that an Internet user is looking for an answer to a specific topic or problem.

The search that found the impression could have been looking for a review of a product or service. Or in relation to this website a technical issue that I cover on my pages.

The importance of a descriptive header

In fact since writing this I find that the TITLE tag and the Description META tag are far more important for SEO.

Searches that find pages related to what the searcher is looking for

When I purchased an Aldi Medion laptop I wrote a review on it. At the time it was on sale the model was something that prospective purchasers were making searches. When the model sold-out on-line I removed the page as it was getting hits and the utility of the page was no longer there.

After a period of time I re-instated the page as there may have been prospective purchasers of the model from original purchasers of the laptop. At the time that number of "hits" that the page was getting was out of proportion to the importance of other pages on this website. Those looking for information on Windows 10 S were not finding the page as there are far more authorative sites to be found on the Internet.

Aldi periodically sell laptops with the Medion branding (actually the manufacturer is Lenovo) and as a consequence when a model was shipped to the UK with a QWERTZ (German) keyboard my page started to get get visits again.
