My quest here is to design websites that are easy to use on any device.
Responsive Behaviour
My intention of having my pages display differently on Smartphones, Tablets and larger screen computers seems to work well. As much of what is on the Internet, or at least that is found making a search, will probably be veiwed on a Smartphone. Once the content has been found an intereted viitor may then visit the pages on a device with a greater screen resolution. Hence bot situations need to be addressed.
My simple Smartphone menu should allow the visitor to find the information on my site and not be presented with just a "scaled" version of what they would see if they had a larger screen. Websites where this is the case even though you are viewing them with a larger scrren have no real hope in allowing the visitor to find what thay may be looking for.
As time goes by and I add more content I am learning more things as I go along. Things such as scaling of images and appropriate menus. i.e. not having a "Home" button on the "Home" page and "Kitchen Sink" menus, where there is an attempt to put as much on ALL the pages as possible.
I am getting more intolerant with webmasters and websites that clearly have no clue in web design and don't understand things such as cookies. The inclusion of pop-ups asking or informing the visitor that the site uses cookies and are you okay with that. I do not use cookies, at least in my own coding, I don't believe that I need to have a seperate Cookie Policy just because of an EU directive that doesn't apply. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Ariel/Drone Photography Showcase
This is another reason for posting. Many of my pages will feature shots taken fron a DJI Mavic Pro drone.
